Meet the PG Director

I grew up going to the beautiful beaches of California and attended college at San Diego State University. While there, I played collegiate football until my student-athlete journey came to an end due to a harrowing medical retirement. This left me grappling with my stripped identity and searching for hope elsewhere. It was during this time that I got connected with some Campus Outreach staff guys who shared the Gospel and their lives with me. Christ wooed me to Himself and gave me a new heart. I quickly wanted to share this transformative news with my old teammates. After growing in my faith and graduating, I came on staff with Campus Outreach San Diego. During my 3 years on staff, I met a staff woman from Houston through a conference whom I ended up dating and eventually marrying. Haley and I now live in Nacogdoches, TX, with our two children, and do ministry at Stephen F. Austin State University.

I believe that an experience like Project Galveston can be a enriching one in your child’s life for various reasons. While spiritual growth is the primary objective, PG is also designed to build responsibility and dependability into the lives of the students. All aspects of the project (including project responsibilities, a full-time job, and involvement with the local church) work together to better equip them to be effective as college students and leaders. In addition, we are partnering with local employers in the area to secure full-time jobs. Consequently, we believe that the Lord has provided a unique opportunity for students to not only invest in their walk with the Lord by receiving invaluable spiritual training, but also to invest in their future career paths by obtaining respectable resume references.

I strongly believe that this is the best use of your summer! We have a staff team that packs up and travels with their families to the island every summer because we believe its worth it!
